Between a few tasty treats and some acrobatics, Mathaï enjoyed every instant, surrounded by Sari, Berani and Uijan, who quickly joined the celebration. A truly tender moment of togetherness, reflecting the rich social and emotional life of orangutans.

At just 5 years old, our young resident already strongly embodies the role of ambassador for his species. His story, his bright eyes and his endearing personality remind us how essential the protection of orangutans is — one of the most threatened primates in the world.
