The Peruvian squirrel monkey
The Peruvian squirrel monkey lives in groups often composed of 20 to 75 individuals. Within these groups, the females remain in their natal group, while the males migrate to join other groups. Skilled insect hunters, they spend up to 80% of their day searching through foliage to catch insects and small animals, and can even feed exclusively on animal prey when fruit is scarce.
