A wildlife rescue center in Wallonia
The CREAVES (Rehabilitation Center for Wild Animal Species) of the Pairi Daiza Foundation is a new wildlife rescue center in Wallonia. Unlike other CREAVES, it does not directly accept animals from the public but provides medical support to other centers that rescue animals. Advanced medical facilities and a team of veterinarians, caretakers, and volunteers care for animals requiring surgery or specialized treatment. The center also collaborates with specialists and universities. Once the animals are rehabilitated, they are released back into the wild by the CREAVES centers.
In the Walloon Region, only CREAVES are allowed to temporarily hold wild animals to provide them with necessary care.
