This Halloween, Pairi Daiza invites visitors to discover something truly unique: the Voodoo Village, open until 8 November.

True to the Garden’s welcoming spirit, this new experience steers clear of horror and monsters. Instead, it offers a fascinating insight into a living cultural heritage shaped by rich traditions, spirituality and ancestral knowledge. Often surrounded by misconceptions, voodoo is presented here through its sacred and positive dimensions, with a particular focus on healing, herbal medicine and the passing down of traditions.

Along an immersive trail, visitors can explore several Casas, each revealing a different side of this fascinating world. Highlights include a herbal medicine space, an exhibition of masks and voodoo dolls, blessings performed by a priestess and short predictions. Two priestesses will also share the origins of these traditions and demonstrate the art of traditional braiding.

The experience comes alive through traditional music and dance, with musicians and dancers dressed in authentic attire. A series of carefully recreated scenes also celebrates the culture of Benin, featuring authentic costumes from the country.

To make the most of the experience, a one-way trail has been set up. The Voodoo Village is open every evening from 6 pm to 9 pm, with signs and directions available in French and English.
