Visits & practical advice

You work in a school and are looking for a unique school trip to strengthen the bonds between your students and your teaching team, while deepening the themes of the school program?

Organising a school trip requires careful preparation: educational file, supervision, transport, logistics… For a fun and learning-rich experience, Pairi Daiza offers schools different packages to facilitate the organisation of your educational outing.

The essentials for preparing a school trip at Pairi Daiza

A successful school trip is built on two pillars: safety and ease of organisation.

On the safety front, it is essential that students are always accompanied. Every day, Pairi Daiza staff ensure the smooth running of visits.

And because we know it’s not always easy to visualise the full course of a school outing, three school formulas have been designed to meet all needs.

The 3 options

Key points for preparing an educational trip to Pairi Daiza

So that your school trip to Pairi Daiza takes place under the best conditions, here are a few key steps not to be overlooked:

The preparatory visit

To plan your school trip in advance, go to the reception desk and request an “educational preparation” entry ticket (at the individual rate in force). On presentation of this ticket and your ID on the day of your school outing, this amount will be reimbursed.

Educational objectives

To support teachers in their work on basic skills, the Pairi Daiza Foundation provides several educational files (in French or Dutch) on:

  • climate change,

  • poaching,

  • deforestation,

  • reproduction.

These materials complement perfectly the educational file that you wish to build around your school outing.

Logistics

Good logistical preparation is the key to a successful educational outing. Here are two essential points:

  • Transport: for groups arriving by coach, Pairi Daiza provides a document for your driver. For groups travelling by train, benefit from group SNCB fares from 15 participants.

  • Supervision: to facilitate the organisation of your outing and ensure everyone’s comfort, Pairi Daiza implements special rates and free places for supervising adults, depending on your pupils’ school level.

Memories that last over time

To extend the biodiversity experience beyond the visit, Pairi Daiza offers educational souvenirs to all its school visitors.
