Pairi Daiza celebrates the arrival of spring with a new horticultural creation: the “Pairi Daiza” tulip

Officially named on March 18 during a ceremony bringing together garden enthusiasts and horticulture lovers, this event also marks the launch of Floral Dreams, the season that transforms the Park’s 80 hectares into a vast landscape of springtime blooms.

Developed in collaboration with the Dutch bulb producer JUB Holland, this new tulip variety stands out for its luminous golden-yellow colour, its elegance, and its generous double flower reminiscent of a peony.

3,000 bulbs of this tulip have been planted exclusively at Pairi Daiza, notably in the Egg of the Worlds, the esplanade in front of the castle. In total, 200 varieties of tulips can be admired at Pairi Daiza—a wide palette ranging from botanical tulips to the most recent hybrid forms—alongside daffodils, magnolias, cherry blossoms, and camellias.

From autumn 2026, bulbs of the “Pairi Daiza” tulip will be available in Pairi Daiza shops.
