On Saturday, June 14th at 9:28 a.m., a magical moment occurred in The Kingdom of Ganesha: Farina, one of our female elephants, gave birth to a baby elephant.

In the calm of the morning, bathed in gentleness, the keepers had the privilege of witnessing this rare event, filled with an indescribable emotion. From the very first seconds of life, Farina instinctively stimulated her calf, gently nudging it with her foot, a vital, instinctive gesture to help it take its first breath.

Surrounding them, the entire herd stood watch, attentive and protective, fully aware of the significance of the moment: a new member had just been born.

Then came the first attempts… clumsy yet full of determination: the baby tried to stand, fell, hesitated, and tried again… until finally finding its balance and taking its very first steps. These fragile and courageous moments were followed by a scene of pure tenderness: the first nursing, an intimate, sacred bond between a mother and her baby.
