The Great Scarecrow Contest
Halloween is approaching, which means that Pairi Daiza is about to transform into an autumnal, enchanting, and always family-friendly world. What if, this year, you helped make the Park even more magical?
The scarecrows are making their grand return! Whether funny or a little spooky, let your creativity shine. Pairi Daiza invites all talented crafters, young and old, to help decorate the Garden of the Worlds by creating their own friendly scarecrow.

Get started with wood, fabrics, leaves, and other original materials!

The scarecrows must measure between one and two metres in height.

The weight of the scarecrows must not exceed 5 kg.

They must be made exclusively from recycled materials.

Perishable goods or elements are not allowed in the composition.

Toxic and/or non-recyclable components are not permitted.

Accessories that could cause injuries are prohibited (e.g. knife).

The scarecrows may have an emotional expression, but not a frightening one.

Horrific, bloody, or gory references are forbidden (e.g. severed head).
How it works…

The scarecrows may be dropped off at Mobility Aid, located in the Gallery of Worlds, between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., from Sunday 12/10 to Sunday 26/10 inclusive.

The scarecrows will be displayed in the Oasis.

Please note: for practical reasons, scarecrows cannot be collected by their creators at the end of the Halloween period.

Pairi Daiza reserves the right to refuse any scarecrows that do not comply with the contest participation guidelines.

Two creations will be rewarded by our jury based on their originality and the quality of the handmade work.
1st prize: a stay for 4 people in a Native House (2026 season).
2nd prize: a stay for 4 people in a Farmhouse Lodge (2026 season).
